Matthew Eaton is a contemporary sculptor, printmaker and art educator who is an Assistant Professor of Sculpture at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from New Mexico Highlands University, a Professional Printers’ Certificate in Collaborative Lithography from the Tamarind Institute, a Master of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Sculpture from Georgia State University and a Master of Arts in Art Education from the University of New Mexico. His sculptural work is rooted in the international contemporary cast iron art movement and has been exhibited at Grounds for Sculpture, The National Ornamental Metals Museum and galleries around the United States.
